Cross-draw carrying means that the weapon is carried on the side of the body opposite the dominant hand in front, so that the shooter reaches over his torso to pull. The holster is usually at waist level, but the suspension under the arm of the opposite side in a shoulder holster is also considered a form of cross-draw.
