HOLSTERWELT JOURNAL · FAQ
A few specific details make a fit enquiry much easier to assess.

Describe the setup in one paragraph
Tell us which firearm you use, which optic or light is mounted and how you want to carry it. Include the required hand and the holster product number or link. If you have already ordered, the order number helps us locate the purchase.
Which photos help?
Well-lit side views and close-ups of the mounted optic, light and model designation are useful. For an existing holster, show its attachment and the area involved in the question.
Only photograph a safely unloaded firearm and follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions. Serial numbers and other personal details are normally unnecessary for a general fit enquiry; cover them in the image.
Describe what happens when inserting it
Explain whether the firearm does not seat fully, a component makes contact or the retention mechanism does not close. “It does not fit” alone can have several explanations.
A photo may help assess the issue but cannot replace confirmed compatibility. Do not force insertion or modify the holster on speculation.
Leather, polymer or another construction?
Care and break-in depend on the construction. Leather holster advice does not automatically apply to polymer holsters. Start with the supplied manufacturer instructions and the relevant care article.
