GALCO Jackass Shoulder Rig
Adjustable carry position
The horizontal holster adjusts to a more diagonal carry position than the Miami Classic or MCII through swivel connectors. GALCO describes diagonal, butt-down carry. A streamlined ammunition carrier completes the modular system.
Materials and pivoting harness
The holster and magazine carrier are premium steerhide. The contrasting Premium Center Cut Steerhide harness is adjustable, with four independently pivoting connection points joined by a clover-shaped Flexalon back plate. The shoulder straps are 1½ inches wide and the harness fits chests up to 56 inches.
Delivery scope and modular additions
The system includes the holster, harness, ammunition carrier and a set of harness fasteners. Further components such as tie-downs, a cuff case or flashlight attachment are optional, not automatically included. GALCO’s predecessor introduced the Jackass design in 1970; it was reintroduced for GALCO’s 30th anniversary.
Two-tone construction and fit notes
The holster and ammunition carrier are black with a contrasting tan harness. GALCO notes that most fits in this product family are not compatible with red dot optics. On some gun fits, the muzzle protrudes beyond the leather by design.
Magazine restrictions
For full-size pistols, the standard carrier does not accommodate extra-capacity or extended magazines; GALCO identifies separately purchased extended or horizontal carriers for those systems. For compact and subcompact pistols, the carrier generally also accommodates magazines of the full-size version if one exists. Magazines with exterior sleeves may not fit properly because their baseplates rub together; clarification with GALCO may be needed.

Material and color guidance
Leather is a natural material, so slight differences can occur even within one color. For a coordinated appearance, choose leather holsters and accessories from the same manufacturer with the same color designation. Color names from different manufacturers do not guarantee a match.
