GALCO APO Strongside and Crossdraw Belt Holster
Open carry outdoors
Related to the DAO and SAO holsters, the Auto Pistol Outdoorsman is designed for open carry of a semiautomatic pistol while hunting, hiking or camping. It can be worn strongside or crossdraw. Its low ride supports comfort and helps clear pack straps or other equipment.
Retention strap and tension
The traditional retention strap has a glove-friendly polymer tab. It secures the pistol in brush, over rugged terrain, or while riding a horse, motorbike or ATV/UTV. Tension screw adjustment allows the fit to be tailored.
Manufacturer optic-cutaway note
GALCO describes the cutaway as accommodating most carry-style optics while also working with iron-sighted pistols. According to the manufacturer, the cutaway helps the pistol clear the leather, particularly for shorter-waisted users. This describes the construction, not universal approval of every optic and firearm combination.
Unlined steerhide and hand molding
Unlined premium steerhide is intended for outdoor use. Detailed hand molding promotes retention and shapes the appearance. The APO fits belts up to 1¾ inches.
