The Galco SILHOUETTE HIGH RIDE BELT HOLSTER for Pistols is an elegant High Ride* belt holster with thumb break retention strap and open muzzle design. The two-piece hip-contoured construction sits flatter than conventional pancake holsters and conforms to the body shape. The covered snap on the retention strap prevents accidental release. The open muzzle accommodates multiple barrel lengths of the same firearm model.
The Silhouette impresses with its slim profile and discreet fit – perfect for the discerning carrier who values elegance, security, and functionality. Double-stitched seams ensure durability.

Glossary:
- Thumb Break* – A retention strap over the firearm grip that is released with the thumb. Provides additional security against accidental dislodging – especially important during active movement.
- High Ride* – The holster sits high on the belt, hugging the body more closely and making it easier to conceal under clothing.
- FBI Cant* – The grip tilts rearward approximately 15°–20°. This facilitates a natural drawing motion and keeps the barrel tighter against the body. Developed and preferred by the FBI and other federal agencies.
- OWB* – Outside Waistband – the holster mounts on the outside of the belt (as opposed to IWB holsters, which tuck inside the waistband).
- Premium Saddle Leather* – "Number One" grade American steerhide, representing the top 2% of all available hides, selected for firmness, consistency, and fiber structure.
- Vegetable Tanned* – A traditional, eco-friendly tanning method using natural tannins from tree bark (e.g., oak, mimosa). Produces firm, long-lasting leather without chrome salts or chemicals. More skin-friendly, more biodegradable, and develops a beautiful patina over time.
- IDPA* – International Defensive Pistol Association: An international sport shooting organization focused on realistic self-defense scenarios.
- USPSA* – United States Practical Shooting Association: The U.S. governing body for practical shooting competition.
