HOGUE Hardwood Grip for S&W Revolver
Round Butt - Cocobolo
Fits the following Smith and Wesson J-Frame Round Butt models:
-38, 49, 317, 331, 337, 351PD, 360, 431PD, 437, 438, 631, 637, 638, 649, 650
-Fits the following Centennial Frames: 032, 042, 332, 340, 342, 432PD, 442, 632, 640, 642, 940
-and the following models are either Round or Square Butt: 30, 32, 33, 34, 36, 37, 43, 50, 51, 60, 63, 651
Will also fit the early I-Frame models.
To differentiate between Round and Square Butt, measure the flat area on the very bottom of your grip. This is the surface that commonly has the serial number located on it. Round Butts will measure around 1" and Square Butts will be over 1 1/4".
Does NOT fit Polymer Bodyguard models(BG38) except for models 60020, 60026, and 60027.
Does NOT fit model 40 and 42 due to grip safety and different dimensions on the grip Frame.
-Will NOT fit Charter Arms revolvers.(Undercover -3,; Pit Bull)
-Will NOT fit semi-auto "Chief Special", only revolver version.
-J frame revolvers hold 5(five) .38 caliber bullets in cylinder.
-Revolver often refered to as "chief special".
-See rubber grip model 61000 for Bantam design. It very compact and lightweight (1.4 ozs.). Backstrap and bottom straps are exposed. Patented Bantam grip snaps on with no metal fasteners.
Cocobolo - Orange to dark with deep figure

It loves a polished finish and our craftsmen polish Cocobolo to a glassy, high-gloss lustre, especially if you opt for a smooth handle finish. Delight in gorgeous shades of yellow, orange and reddish brown mixed with dark, irregular traces of deep purple and black that weave through the wood in straight or interlocked grain patterns. Cocobolo is a popular choice for pistol grip and knife makers for several reasons: it is very hard and finely textured, it stands up well to hard use and it looks great!

The unique one-piece design of Monogrip reguires that it be mounted from the bottom of the hand handle. Since the grip will not like conventional two piece designs, please read the mounting instructions included thoroughly.

No modofication to your gun is necessary to install the grip.
*Stock Pin Notes:
-Must replace standard 5/8" stock pin with shorter 1/2" pin on wood models only, the new pin is included with the grip. On some frames, the pin hole in the frame is a little on the large side. It is OK that the pin is a little loose. The grip will keep the pin in the frame and the tension created by the screw in the stirrup assembly will keep the pin from moving.
-Must be sure to center the stock pin if the grip will not start on frame or go on all the way.
