In particular, the desire of many users for an inside-the-waist holster was taken into account here, where the weapon can be easily tucked away and is immediately automatically secured against loss.
The 575 Inside-the-Waistband Holster features the unique Grip Lock System (GLS™) that secures the firearm as soon as it is in the holster. The GLS is deactivated with the middle finger when holding the firearm with a standard grip. The low-profile, compact design makes it easy to conceal the weapon and allows for a quick draw. The draw angle is individually adjustable and the fit of the holster can be perfectly adjusted to different carrying positions via a slotted hole using an Allen key.
It is possible to draw very quickly and at the same time the weapon is reliably secured from falling out. There is no need to train a special movement sequence. The safety system is immediately controllable. When the weapon is put back into the holster, it is automatically secured.
To illustrate the size, the following example:
A Glock 17 fits - but the barrel peeks out of the bottom of the holster a bit.
With the German standard service weapons (P10, P30, P2000, VP9 (SFP9) , P99/P99Q, P6, Glock 19/46 etc.) the barrel is completely covered.
For the adjustment to the respective pistol size, the holster has an adjusting screw with which the wobble-free fit and drawing resistance of the pistol in the holster can be individually adjusted.
It should also be checked whether the pistol has a wide (e.g. Glock 17) or narrow (e.g. 1911, SIG P6) trigger guard. If the trigger guard is narrow, the plastic adapter supplied must be inserted into the safety system. This is the only way to ensure that during the drawing process the safety engaging in the trigger guard is pushed to the side to such an extent that the mechanism does not block a renewed holstering of the weapon.
The brand new SAFARILAND holster models in the 7TS™ product line are made from the extremely rugged and durable SafariSeven™ an all-new, state-of-the-art, hard nylon material from DuPont™ that makes these holsters virtually impervious to the elements. This nylon compound, which does not attack the surface of the firearm, can withstand extremely high and low temperatures and virtually never requires maintenance.
The holsters are manufactured using a precision injection molding process and are extremely lightweight.
The elevations machined into the inside of the holster provide air for the weapon in the holster. Dirt and water thus have less contact with the weapon.
